Keep Smiling

In a poem like this, I cannot lie,
It’s just that I hate to see someone cry,
I feel bad on hearing even a sad sigh,
So when someone starts to cry, oh my,
Does that bring a tear to my eye.
So if you cry, I would just die,
And now you know the reason why.

But when you smile, life feels fresh and new,
I feel so happy, I could shout, “Yahoo!”
And I’m not just saying that, it’s really true!
Now that you know what your smile can do,
You wouldn’t cry anymore, would you?

You’ve seen the difference a smile and a tear can make,
So please keep smiling, at least for my sake!
