Subconscious

Wandering in the wilderness, lost in this forest of fear.
Shadows and spectres, dance cruelly far and near.
Lustful laughter and wraiths of wrath lurk in the depths of dark.
The air is filled as horrors unknown snarl and howl and bark.
What filters through the black foliage is hazy, dim and red.
Lending a helping hand to the metaphysical terror in my head.

Crumbling ruins lie ahead, covered in creepers and vines
Broken blocks, crisscrossing cracks, a spider-web of lines.
Physically, they are dark, still and silent, yet they smoulder.
Evil permeates the very rock here, the air grows colder.
A magnificent monstrosity, ramparts and towers standing tall,
Infested with demons and howling wind, a monument to my fall.

The rivers boil and the landscape burns,
The stench of death laced with dust, as the wind churns,
Geysers of horror burst forth from the ravaged land
Apocalypse and Hell, all in the palm of one hand.
Filled with fear and all the terrors you can find,
Welcome to the deep, dark dungeons of my mind!
