Rage

Beyond wisdom, beyond reason, beyond age,
Beyond fear, beyond anger, lies rage!
It litters our history, from dictator to sage,
Glowing white hot on every page!

It taints the scientist, and corrupts the mage,
It visits both the boss, and worker of daily wage.
It’s always there, that burning rage,
Waiting to explode, rattling its cage!
